HOW TO KNOW WHEN GOD SPEAKS

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

As christians, we have an advantage, above any other unbeliever. And that is The HOLY SPIRIT. HOLY SPIRIT has a personality; and that makes Him a person. HOLY SPIRIT is God Himself. And when you have Him, you have got an advantage over everything. There is nothing that will happen without your awareness. No knowledge on Earth can be compared to the one you have got. No ability be it in the spirit realm or the physical realm can be greater than the one you have.

Because He is God; He will speak and direct you, even when you don’t think that you need a direction. He is faithful.

There is no wisdom that is greater, than the wisdom that He will teach you.

The Bible says;
John 14:26
[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

When someone has got the personality of the Holy Spirit, there is nothing like “I don’t know”, for a child of God. That sentence is not supposed to come out of your lips. You are supposed to know, because the HOLY SPIRIT is a Spirit of knowledge

He comes on time, so knowing when and how He speaks, is very important.

How does the Holy Spirit speak.?

The Holy Spirit as far as He is God; He speaks in many ways. But this time let’s look at a very important way, that is required by every believer.

The inner voice

The one with the Holy Spirit can discern and confirm whether other spirits come from God or not.

Such believer is smart enough to put any other voices in weight to know which voice to follow and which one is not to follow.

For example; Many of us like to hear counsellings from the elders because we believe that, there is more than we know in them. The same goes to prophecies. The Holy Spirit in you has to confirm every message that enters your ears, or mind.

Even if the message is claimed to be from God; still the Holy Spirit in you has to confirm the message.

How do I hear the Holy Spirit inside me

Jesus called Him a comforter(John 14:26)

Before you could begin to be worried about what will happen next, or when you are in dilemma of not knowing what to choose. May be the Holy Spirit has spoken to you before about that. But when He speaks, His first mission is to give you comfort, ( peace).

And the Bible says;

Colossians 3:15
[15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,…

Have you heard someone saying “I heard something like a voice in me telling me not to go that direction, but I found myself in an accident after not obeying the voice”. Now this is just a simple example.

Imagine you want to get into a bus ready for trip, and imediately you find yourself looking at the tires, and you notice that there is a problem with the tire; still taking it like it is nothing serious, you get on a bus escorted by the noises of the bus conductors. A few miles away you find out that the bus has stopped and your journey is delayed and because you are a Christian, 😂😂 you begin to pray, cursing the devil😄, “shindwa pepo la mikosi”. And you ask God “why is this happening to me, am late for the interview”. And you conclude that “maybe this was not mine”; forgetting that what made you look at the tires in the first place was not your mind but the Holy Spirit in you.

Or you have been proposed by a certain brother👊🏻, looking at him, you see that the guy is perfect, he prays more than you😂😂. Every one is saying that the guy is suitable for you ( as if they are the ones going to live with him🤔). But in your spirit you don’t feel any attraction, and you don’t approve the person. You find yourself at risk because of others counsellings.
Am not saying that the Holy Spirit can’t use people; what am saying is that the message you get from them has to be confirmed by the Holy Spirit in you.

It doesn’t matter even if it is a dream, still the Holy Spirit has to say something about it. If the dream is from Him or not.

The Holy Spirit will bring you into a place of peace. For him to speak well with you.

Sometimes He May push you to do something for His Glory. That is also His way of operation.
