Day 01
One of the best way of understanding God, is by understanding the one that God has sent.
God uses his servants as one of the ways with which He speaks to His children. And of those servants are the prophets
A prophet is a mouthpiece of God in the word he/she is the voice of God.
He/she is a mouthpiece of God in the world, so whenever God wants to make known His agenda in the world, He chooses a prophet and He works His agenda through a prophet.
He chooses a prophet to make known His agenda, and He chooses a prophet establish His agenda
So whenever you look at a prophet, look at someone who has become a voice of God to you.
There is this saying that is going around the believers, that prophets are of the Old testament well this statement is false, because even today we have prophets who are strong and powerful as the older ones.
They are living among us, they are walking among us and some of them are those that are even born in our families
These people still exist
As powerful as the prophets of the Bible, these people still exist in our world today
Now there is a scripture that those who don’t value prophets stick to ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Hebrews 1:1-2
[1] God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Mungu, ambaye alisema zamani na baba zetu katika manabii kwa sehemu nyingi na kwa njia nyingi,
[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
mwisho wa siku hizi amesema na sisi katika Mwana, aliyemweka kuwa mrithi wa yote, tena kwa yeye aliufanya ulimwengu.
Many are ignorantly using this scripture, to say that prophets don’t exist nowadays. But that is not what the scripture is saying.
Remember verse 2, it says “has in these last days SPOKEN unto us by his son” ( present perfect tense) the Bible doesn’t say “God IS SPEAKING⦔ it says “God HAS SPOKEN “ , so we have to understand, where exactly has God spoken, and what has He said? There is the message of cross and salvation
Now to find what God is still speaking now, then prophets are there for that.
Prophets never ended with the old testament, no, even after Jesus Christ still there are prophets and still there shall be prophets.
Let me show you, something from the new testament ππ»ππ»ππ»
Ephesians 4:11
[11]And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Naye alitoa wengine kuwa mitume, na wengine kuwa manabii; na wengine kuwa wainjilisti na wengine kuwa wachungaji na waalimu;
This is Jesus appointing people and among the people that Jesus appoints in the church are prophets. So prophets are not gone with the old testament. Old testament never contained prophets, but prophets contained the old testament,. Yet even in the new testament we still have prophets
Let me continue to prove more to you ππ»ππ»ππ»
Acts 15:32
[32] And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
Tena Yuda na Sila, kwa kuwa wao wenyewe ni manabii, wakawausia ndugu kwa maneno mengi, wakawathibitisha.
We have, still prophets in the new testament church. As the very significant church.
The church without a prophet is dead.
When it comes to doctrines the church is built in the doctrine of the prophets and apostles
Ephesians 2:20
[20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Mmejengwa juu ya msingi wa mitume na manabii, naye Kristo Yesu mwenyewe ni jiwe kuu la pembeni.
All these scriptures are from the new testament
Yes mercy, the Bible says “where there is no vision, people perish”
So hear this, “these people are still present here in this world, and they are walking among us, eating with us and sometimes laughing with us,π€«
You can’t ignore these people and still say you are well spiritually. You can’t expect the fire of God yet you are against prophets and apostles. That’s ignorance.
Now let’s get back to the subject ππ»ππ»ππ»
Now prophets are there to show direction, what is God saying concerning our situations, prophets are there for that. They are the moving voice of God
When I say that they are the moving voice of God, what I mean is that “they have offered themselves fully, to be used by God upto a level where they don’t appear it is God who appear.”
Prophecy is not just in what they say but also in what they do, they can just do something, that if you look at it you will understand a message from God there.
They can react in a certain way that if you look at in a human manner it can irritate you, but if you look at it carefully you will understand the Voice of God in their reaction. They have fully become God’s voice
They don’t go where God is not going, ni kama magurudumu ( if you read the book of Ezekiel well)
In our society we can live with a prophet and still miss the voice of God, because we are not trained enough to understand their language.
If we read from the book of Genesis, we see a man ( Abraham) who never prophesied to anyone, yet God called him a prophet, but if you look at His life you will come across some reactions that weren’t good yet they were prophetic.ππ»ππ»ππ»
This man lied to King Abimelech that Sarah was his sister, and Abimelech was so smart to find out the reason for such a behavior and he asked why have you done this?
Genesis 20:10-11
[10]And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
Abimeleki akamwambia Ibrahimu, Umeona nini hata ukatenda jambo hili?
[11]And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.
Ibrahimu akasema, Kwa sababu naliona, Yakini hapana hofu ya Mungu mahali hapa, nao wataniua kwa ajili ya mke wangu.
Look at the question of someone who understands a character, Abimelech wanted to know what God is saying concerning his country, even without Abraham telling him directly, he studied the behavior and wanted to draw a prophetic message from there,
And look at the answer that Abraham is giving, this is now a national prophecy given as a result of the reaction
Verse 11 ( “β¦ Surely the fear of God is not in this place;”)
So sometimes prophets can behave in a certain manner ( this is the reason sometimes it difficult to live with them, and some think of them as complicators) it’s sometimes not because of them, but because of you and the environment. Their reaction depicts how God feels about the place. If they reply sometimes harshly know that God himself is not fully pleased with that individual or area or a certain thought.
For example, I went to minister in a certain place and I was invited for lunch at a certain house, I remember I was very hungry, but the moment that woman brought food onto the table, I lost urge for eating, I lost appetite and wished to go for prayers,β¦ And the woman looked at the way I was eating like someone who is not hungry at all, and she asked me whether I didn’t like her food,. But I remained silent, I only said I was eating,.. but at that time I didn’t even understand what was happening to me, but later I came to realize that that woman was mistreating her husband and God was not pleased with her for that
then I understood the reason I was like that sometimes it happens like that when you are fully consumed in God.
I wish the woman would have been smart enough to notice who exactly is eating at her table, if only she would have stopped looking at a young boy and begun to look at Jesus Christ eating at her table then behaving like that, she wouldn’t have questioned me, she would have run into her room and wept to God to have mercy on her.
Every reaction done by a prophet, has a significance, even if he just smiled at you, that itself is a message. If you are sinful and then such a person passes and smiles at you, don’t think you are not seen he is actually telling you another language “I’m seeing you, you are just childish, if only you could have just accepted Jesus and stop that rubbishππ”
Look at that, I’ve seen people that when you visit them, just a look into their eyes they begin to cry, asking for forgiveness. I have the testimony myself.
These people are there to execute God’s message on earth. It is just that when we expect them to speak to us, they might be speaking to us in another way. They don’t make mistakes in any reaction they do is a voice of God.
Prophet Samuel visited a place and when elders saw him, others run and locked themselves in their houses, ( look at the way these people were being treated)ππ»ππ»ππ»
1 Samuel 16:4-5
[4]And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
Samweli akafanya hayo aliyosema BWANA, akaenda Bethlehemu. Wakaja wazee wa mji kumlaki, wakitetemeka, nao wakasema, Je! Umekuja kwa amani?
[5]And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.
Naye akasema, Naam, kwa amani; nimekuja kumtolea BWANA dhabihu; jitakaseni; njoni pamoja nami kwenye dhabihu. Akawatakasa Yese na wanawe, akawaita kwenye dhabihu.
Look at that, a prophet could just step in a place and that could mean either punishment or mercy on that area.
For two weeks when I visited my hometown, the Lord never allowed me to go to the market place during Mondays because people from every corner came there to sell their goods, and I asked the Lord why and He said, “these people are more into witchcraft, if you go to them I will see their evil and I will punish the entire town.” So I didn’t go for two weeks just staying in the house. People could come and could blame me for staying inside for too long.. but I was always quiet because they would never understand.
Now my message is that if you notice such a person close to you, consider such a person, don’t ignore anything that comes from him/her
Look at the person and learn the voice of God.
